Arc de Triomphe
In the middle of the heaviest traffic in Paris, accessible only by using one of the underground walkways, stands the French national monument commissioned by Napoleon in the early 1800s. The observation deck on top of the monument affords a great view of central Paris and its many landmarks.

Les Egouts de Paris
The legendary sewers of Paris, which have formed the backdrop of novels and motion pictures, are now one of the most complex, computerized systems of underground conduit for waste, water, telecommunications and pneumatic tubes in the world. The two-hour tour and program is well worth your time.

Chateau de Versalles

Les Catacombs
This mile of dirt tunnels was used to supplement the overfilled cemeteries in the 1700s, and is still filled with bones and skulls. During World War II, these tunnels also were used as a headquarters for the French Resistance. A fascinating tour is available.

Cathedrale de Notre-Dame
Built in the 12th century, Notre Dame is at the very heart of Paris and is the oldest preserved structure around which the town grew. Services are still held here, which you are welcome to attend, or you can take one of the many tours available of one of the world’s most famous churches.

Cathedrale de Notre-Dame de Chartres
Looking through some of the oldest and best preserved stained glass in the world alone is worth the two hour trip from Paris. Reserve a Sunday to see all that Chartres has to offer, and enjoy one of the free concerts performed on one of the world’s oldest organs.

Basilique du Sacre-Coeur
From the top of the dome of this 19th century cathedral, you can see all of Paris, particularly as evening is falling and the town is illuminated. An interior observation platform also affords an unforgettable view of the inside of this remarkable structure.

Place de Pigalle
